Our Privacy Policy

Your privacy is really important to us here at Opulent Outdoor Living. To help you understand how, why and what we use your information for we have prepared this Privacy Policy outlining all you need to know. This policy is available from the bottom of each page if you should need to refer to it at any point whilst you visits our site.

Your contact details – which also includes your delivery and billing addresses as well as your email address and telephone numbers.

The details of your bank account and credit or debit cards when you place an order. This will only be collected when a payment is due, we will never request for your bank details/payment details unless payment is due for a product or service.

For commercial customers we also collect information on your company, such as its name and full trading name, trading status, registration number, registered address, date of establishment and telephone and fax numbers. You may provide us with information of third parties, such as customer name and site addresses, or contact details for your trade references.

We’ve got to collect and use certain information in order to perform our contract with you or to fulfil a service. For example, to contact you via email to send your quotation or deliver goods or services to your site. We also collect data if you subscribe to our mailing list.

Sharing of Data
We will not sell your personal data to any third parties.

We may share your personal data with the following types of company as an essential part of being able to provide our products/services to you. We will only share data with reputable organisations that we trust, such as:

Delivery companies
Professional service providers, including document shredding firms, accountants, consultants, etc.

Credit reference agencies – should there need to be a request to determine your ability to meet the financial requirements of the sale of goods contract

Third party data processing entities who perform services on our behalf, such as review companies, payment processing providers, email and hosting services and advertising services.

Third-party analytics tools like Google Analytics

We require these organisations to keep your personal data safe, and they must not use your personal data for their own marketing purposes.

How we protect your Data?
We have robust safeguards in place to ensure that all personal data is safe and secure. This includes computer safeguards, such as anti-virus, firewalls and data encryption, as well as physical and procedural safeguards. All of this ensure your data remains your data and there is no risk of it being exploited or stolen.

How long do we hold your Data for?
We’ll only keep your data for as long as we need to. But, that said, we have to hold on to certain things – like your name, contact information and some bank details, and data on the things you’ve bought from us for six years after you gave them to us – because we legally have to.

Otherwise, the amount of time we’ll keep hold of it for depends on what type of data it is. If it’s something that’s sensitive (like your bank details) or if we know a lot about you, we’ll delete it sooner. You can find out more about how long we keep personal data for by getting in touch with us.

You can also find details on what you can ask us to do with your data in the ‘Your legal rights’ section below.

Your Legal Rights
We’ve included your legal rights here too, because they’re an important part of our privacy policy. They’re a list of all the things you can ask us to do, under certain circumstances, with your data. You can find out more about when we can and can’t do these things by getting in touch.

You can ask us to:

Show you the information we have about you

Correct it

Delete or stop using it, or change the way we use it

You’re also always able to opt-out of receiving our marketing emails and updates.

Just let us know if you’d like to do any of these things. You won’t have to pay anything, but if you ask us lots of times to do the same thing and it’s not something we’re required by law to do, then we might charge you a small fee or say no.

We’ll also need you to send us proof of your identity before we can go ahead – we wouldn’t want to pass your information on to the wrong person.

We’ll do what you’ve asked us to as quickly as we can – usually within a month – but sometimes things can take a bit longer. We’ll always keep you up to date though.

That is everything, we hope it all makes sense and if you do have any concerns or just want to ask us a question we are hear for you.
